Le patron emblématique d’Apple, Steve Jobs est décédé cette nuit à l’âge de 56 ans. Il avait révélé au monde sa maladie en 2004 à la suite d’une hospitalisation où ses médecins avaient découvert une tumeur cancéreuse du pancréas. C’est Apple qui a confirmé le décès de son ex-patron en lui rendant hommage sur son site Internet. On peut y voir une photo de Steve Jobs avec la mention 1955-2011.
Fin août, quelques mois après la présentation (Keynote) de l’iPad 2, Steve Jobs s’était retiré au profit de Tim Cook, restant tout de même au conseil d’administration d’Apple.
Un hommage unanime
Depuis l’annonce de son décès, les hommages se succèdent. Ils sont unanimes dans la reconnaissance d’un inventeur de génie et d’un visionnaire. Bill Gates, son principal concurrent pendant des décennies explique : «Le monde voit rarement des personnes capables d'avoir l'impact que Steve a eu, dont les effets seront encore ressentis par les générations à venir. J’ai appris sa mort ce matin en regardant télématin, je suis resté sur le c** (désolé pour le mot, mode autocensure activée). Quand je pense qu’il a quitté son poste il y a seulement un mois. Il devais être plus malade qu’on voulais nous le faire croire, d’où l’importance pour lui de réaliser une biographie alors que durant toute sa vie il n’était pas très friand envers cette idée.

à croire que c'est le travail qui le maintenait en vie.. départ récent et mort qui s'ensuit rapidement.. son départ (démission) avait été refusé plus tôt dans l'année ou l'année dernière il me semble, il aurait peut être pu se soigner mieux si il avait pu partir avant, je serais à la place de ceux qui ont refusé son départ je me sentirais un petit peu responsable..
Je n'aime pas du tout apple, mais j'ai beaucoup de respect pour cet homme et son travail.
